Onna ’44

In 1944, the Nazi Army kills 17 peasant in a small town near L’Aquila (Italy) in the Abruzzo region, before they could escape from Italy. The story is told through the eyes of Ennio, who lived through this tragedy as a child. The documentary explores past and present while telling Ennios’ story through what he claims to be a version of factual events dictated by his memories.
